This is a pirate ship which I made using recyclable material. As u can see there are canons at both sides of the ship.

Materials : satay stick, cardboard, toilet paper roll and transparent plastic sheet.

Date completed : 23/07/2007

Is the centre hollow coz i tried making something like that and it just seemed to always fall apart and nor can the sails stay up properly. My glue fails T-T

hey!

yes, the centre of the ship is hollow. it is difficult to built it. i had to build it slowly and stick by stick. maybe u could get something to support it or a foam attached inside.

yes, the sails are tricky too. U have to stick right to the bottom of the base for extra support. That way i made a hole on the top part of the base so the sail go all the way down. I use UHU glue for that. it should be strong enough. or any multipurpose should be fine.

Oh, very nice! I like how you've left the materials in their natural colours- adds to your recycling theme, keeping them quite raw and broken down. The display space you've created for it really tops off the design. Impressive! :D

ps. How come you put this in "deviantART related, Prints?" New category system messing up again? :p "Animals" in "Fantasy" puts work in "Anthro" for some bizzarre reason.
